After School Clubs

Sharp Spark offers a range of courses which run on an as required basis.

Some courses are offered as an single-day workshop, others run across a number of weeks - we can adapt the offerings according to your requirements.

A selection of our currently available courses are:

  1. Arduino Programming Workshop (5 h Workshop)

    Students create traffic lights, send Morse code and intruder alarms using the open-source electronics platform Arduino and some basic electronics. This is a workshop and costed as a block booking for up to 20 students. (More info)

  2. Beginners Electronics with Arduino (10 w Course)

    This will incorporate work with electrical circuits, logic boards, Arduino and Scratch programming. Students will use pico boards and breadboards to make traffic lights, games, send morse code and input arrangements to create thermometers. (More info)

  3. Crazy Science (5 d Course)

    Kick off a chain reaction of fun filled experiments that ooze, smoke, pop and stink with Hands-on classes. This course is perfect for those who are just starting to be interested in science. The course will; explore a large number of scientific topics to introduce an array of famous scientists and their achievements. Students will get dirty so please dress them accordingly.   4. Creating Apps for Androids (2 h Session)

    We will be using app inventor to create basics apps which can be used by any android device. (More info)

  5. Electronic T-Shirts (2 h Session)

    This holiday session allows students to create a basic t-shirt with flashing lights and switches. Sewing will be required. (More info)

  6. Sharp Science: Rainbow Science (1 h Session)

    An hour of fun experiments with rainbows. We will create many different rainbows in the air, solutions and much more. (More info)

  7. Game Labs (5 h Course)

    Collaborate- Create- Compete in the Ultimate Video Game Experience For serious gamers only! Beyond 2D and 3D, now it’s time to take it to another level by competing with the world! Students will develop games with a partner using a unique game engine. Students will learn advanced level editing, simple 3D modelling, intermediate event scripting and the impact of game play on user experience. System Requirements for home experience: 2GB of RAM, and 2.0GHZ processor. (More info)

  8. Hogwarts School of Wizardry (5 d Course)

    At Hogwarts you will experience many different lessons and activities. you will design and create your own wand that lights up, mix potions with different effects and make interesting sweets. lessons will be held in Calligraphy, Herbology, History of Magic and Care and Creations of Magical creatures. Parents are invited to see the magic show on the last day at 11:45 - 12am This course runs from Monday the 8th of August - Friday the 12 August. It is mornings only (9am - Midday) (More info)

  9. Introduction to Animation (5 w Course)

    Experiment with a variety of animation styles including cut-out puppets, drawn animation, pixelation, computer animation, flip books and experimental materials. We will learn techniques for bringing any object to life! This club is perfect for first-time animators! (More info)

  10. Lego© Comics: Design Your Own Adventure! (5 d Course)

    In this LEGO adventure YOU are the star! Pick your favourite LEGO genre or create an alternate universe to create a digital illustrated story or graphic novel. Whether you want to ght alongside Superheroes, create a Minecraft story, hang with the Nexo Knights, or go into space with Rey and Finn, the only requirement is that you put yourself in the story! All students will end the class with a digital comic book that can be shared with friends and family on a password protected website! Date: 10th July -15th July 1pm – 4pm (More info)
